Planting Done Right

Trees, shrubs, perennials, whatever your yard needs, planted to last. Serving Elma, Orchard Park, Hamburg, and the Buffalo Southtowns.

Planting looks simple until things die two summers later. Most plants fail because they went in too deep, in the wrong spot, or dried out their first season. We plant it all: trees, shrubs, evergreens, perennials, and full flower beds, and we do it the right way: a wide hole, root flare at grade, roots loosened, watered in, and finished with a clean mulch ring. Magic Mulch is locally owned and owner-operated out of Elma Center, and Mikhai is on site at every job.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Just about anything. Shade trees, ornamental trees, evergreens, shrubs, hedges, perennials, and full flower beds. If it goes in the ground, we plant it right.

Spring and early fall are ideal. The soil is warm enough for roots to establish before summer heat or winter freeze. We plant from April through October.

Either works. We can source healthy nursery stock for you, or if you already bought plants we will get them in the ground properly. Sourced plants are priced at cost plus planting labor.

A tree or shrub planted too deep suffocates slowly. The root flare, where the trunk widens into the roots, has to sit right at ground level. It is the number one planting mistake we fix.
